plant trial comments

We all know that plants are dynamic, living things, and because we understand so much about our own plants (we carry out trials around the world) we appreciate the subtle differences regarding their growth and habit.

Which is why it’s worthwhile visiting the section of our site which gives you local information – which plants are available; when it’s best to plant, prune and feed them; tips and so on. It’s all here to help you enjoy them more.

Tesselaar Plants are dedicated to supplying only the most colorful, easy-care and disease tolerant plants available.

We continually conduct a range of ongoing research and development activities including a series of performance trials for Tesselaar plants across a wide range of environmental conditions and climate zones.

All plants carrying the Tesselaar name must be exceptional plants and perform brilliantly in the home garden or public landscape. They have to grow extremely well with an absolute minimum of fuss and care to fit with the Tesselaar Plants philosophy - "Making Gardening Easy"

Our US Plant Trial Programs range in scope from highly developed and moderated University trials, to trials with landscape professionals and long-term home garden testers. We also conduct our own long term trials in our Test Gardens in Silvan, Australia

Those Flower Carpet roses are unbeatable…possibly 'the perfect plant'. No mildew or black spot, no watering once established, bloom all summer and thrive in lousy soil. We’ve used Flower Carpet Red in vacant lots in Yonkers and they’re like Energizer bunnies. No dieback either, even with stiff winds off the Hudson. The Red stays low and spreading while the yellow grows taller and more erect for us. - A.M., New York, USA
