Jury Magnolias / Companion Plants
FELIX magnolia: One of the most stunning magnolias ever seen. Huge in size, almost the size of an adult head. Not as quick to bloom as Black Tulip, but worth the wait when it does flower
Black Tulip magnolia. A new variety with goblet shaped bloom. Quick to bloom. Rich dark purple red
Magnolias are suited to garden plantings as a backdrop to rhododendrons, camellias and azaleas where flower colors can be chosen to match or contrast as desired.
Don’t forget that these trees make excellent specimen trees planted on open lawns or group three together for a stunning display.
It is best not to plant underneath Magnolias, as cultivating will damage the fleshy root system.
