Flower Carpet roses / Hot Tips
We all know that plants are dynamic, living things, and because we understand so much about our own plants (we carry out trials around the world) we appreciate the subtle differences regarding their growth and habit.
Which is why it’s worthwhile visiting the section of our site which gives you local information – which plants are available; when it’s best to plant, prune and feed them; tips and so on. It’s all here to help you enjoy them more.
Flower Carpet roses being left alone to do what they do best, just bloom and bloom
Flower Carpet PINK. Just loves to show off
- Any time you trim your roses, just give them a handful of fertilizer or add some liquid feeding around the plant. The reason: when you cut the plant back, it then triggers new growth, and at this time the plants are looking for that added food to ensure you get a great burst of blooms again.
- Do you love cut flowers? These are fabulous for picking because they are bright and colorful and they last a long time! Cut a small spray for a posy vase, the Pink variety are especially pretty.
- Try different colour combinations, you will be surprised at how good they look together. Pink and Yellow look great together, a combination of White and Pink also look fabulous. Appleblossom and Pink. Stupendous.
- Do you need to shift your Flower Carpet Roses but it's the middle of summer? Don’t worry, they can be planted out into the garden AT ANY TIME OF THE YEAR (in warmer areas) Always remember when planting out, trim plant back 1/3 rd in size, give plenty of water and add some rose fertilizer (this helps the roots establish quicker and also ensures a fuller bush).
- Try mixing colors together, either in the garden or in a vase.
