Festival Burgundy
This is one of the most remarkable garden plants available. Its wonderful dark shiny color, form and habit have combined to make Festival™ Burgundy so popular amongst gardeners and landscapers alike. The burgundy strap-like leaves make it stand out in any garden planting or mixed container, however it's this cordyline's cascading foliage which really makes it so useful.
Cordylines are indigenous to Australia, New Zealand and the western Pacific region. They normally grow into small trees or palm-like evergreen shrubs with a trunk, however Festival™ Burgundy's basal branching, forming multiple short stems spreading out from the base of the plant to create a sturdy low-growing grass plant, no more than three feet high.
Easy-care, compact and bushy, Festival™ Burgundy also produces lovely, star-shaped blush pink flowers in late Spring and Summer.
