Astilbe ColorFlash® series can be planted as a border in a shady garden or a garden that receives filtered sunlight, or as small scattered groups throughout a larger garden. The finely divided burgundy foliage and feathery flower spikes of the original ColorFlash® provide a good contrast to leafy light green Hostas. Plant with other semi-shade plants including Hellebores, other Astilbe hybrids and species and the tuberous Begonia Bonfire®. Complement the bronze burgundy foliage of Astilbe ColorFlash® with the exotic colours of Canna Tropicanna® or contrast with Canna Tropicanna® Gold in gardens receiving filtered sun. The finely divided lime green foliage and feathery flower spikes of ColorFlash® Lime provide a good contrast to dark foliage plants including Canna Tropicanna®. Plant with Astilbe ColorFlash® to contrast the lime green foliage with the burgundy red foliage of ColorFlash®. Combine with other semi-shade plants including Hellebores, other Astilbe hybrids and species and the tuberous Begonia Bonfire®.
