Tropicanna! A Network Star on CBS Early Show!

Landscape designer and host of PBS’ Victory Garden Michael Weishan appeared as a guest on the CBS Early Show Friday, April 13, 2007. The topic for Weishan’s interview with host Harry Smith was planning for summer bulbs in the garden this spring. The canna he chose as his favorite was Tropicanna Black.

Weishan singled out the canna, announcing, “This is one of my favorites, it’s Canna Tropicanna . . . this is the latest thing in foliage color design, because this dark color sets off all the greens. It’s really fantastic.”
